MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Helping Provide Supplies to Teachers in Under-resourced Schools

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, the “better burger” fast-casual franchise, is proud to announce its partnership with Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), a national non-profit organization that directly impacts underserved schools in communities across the country. MOOYAH is launching a fundraising campaign to support KINF’s mission of creating equitable learning spaces by providing supplies and resources to teachers and students in underserved schools.

The campaign, which will run from September 25 to October 29, aims to raise at least $150 from each participating MOOYAH location over a 5-week time period, with a goal of $250 or more. A donation of $250 provides one teacher with support through KINF’s Supply A Teacher program, helping educators avoid out-of-pocket expenses for much-needed standard classroom supplies.

“MOOYAH has always been committed to supporting our local schools through fundraisers, sponsorships, catering and charity auction donations,” said Pam Parham, Director of Franchise Relations. “We are excited to partner with KINF and witness the positive impact that our fundraising efforts will have on classrooms in each community. We look forward to sharing these efforts with our generous Guests.”

Guests can choose to donate $1, $3, $5, or any open dollar amount. Locations that raise $250 or more will have the opportunity to present the supply kit to the benefitting teacher and students.

“We are thrilled to launch this fundraising campaign in partnership with Kids In Need Foundation,” said Parham. “At MOOYAH, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and this campaign is a testament to that commitment. Our Franchise Owners are excited to be part of this initiative, as it not only allows us to make a positive impact on underserved schools but also strengthens our connection with our Guests and local communities. We are proud to support KINF’s mission of creating equitable learning spaces, and we look forward to seeing the tangible results of our collective efforts in the classrooms that will benefit from the supplies and resources provided through this campaign.”

ABOUT KIDS IN NEED FOUNDATION:

Kids In Need Foundation helps create equitable learning spaces through the distribution of supplies and resources, investing in teachers and students in underserved schools. With the belief that every child in America should have equal opportunity and resources to engage in a quality education, Kids In Need Foundation focuses its programs and initiatives on teachers and students most under-resourced, those where 70 percent or more of the enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced-cost meals through the National School Lunch Program. In 2022, through its programs, National Network of Resource Centers, and coast-to-coast local partners, Kids In Need Foundation and our national network supported over 7.7 million students and 333,169 teachers in 17,472 under-resourced schools, with KINF distributing more than $143 million in free school supplies and classroom resources nationwide at no cost to schools or teachers.
