Sunny Singh, a veteran restaurateur based in Fontana, California, signed on with MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes to open six locations in the next five years. The 90-plus-unit better burger franchise is rapidly expanding in select markets across the country, and Singh is thrilled to partner with the company and grow its presence in California.

Singh has decades of experience working in the restaurant industry, starting as a teenager. When he was ready to transition to become an owner, he signed on with Mountain Mike’s Pizza to open four units. He discovered MOOYAH when a location opened next to his Upland, CA pizza restaurant.
“MOOYAH was a neighbor to one of my Mountain Mike’s locations, and when I tried the burger, I was amazed,” he said. “It was so fresh. The commitment to wholesome, quality food was similar to Mountain Mike’s, but the focus was burgers, not pizza. The buns are made there, and the fries are freshly cut. The brand is simply a cut above its competitors.”
When Singh decided he wanted to grow his business and diversify with a complementary brand, MOOYAH was an obvious choice. With a shared passion for fresh, quality ingredients and great-tasting food, he already admired the restaurant’s menu. But it was the quality of the organization he saw in the company’s Discovery Day that solidified his decision.
“Everything was so detailed, and it wasn’t one of those boring Discovery Days,” he said. “There was so much to learn, and I was impressed with the leadership. The whole experience really sold me. They provide so much support and are friendly and committed to franchisee success.”
After experiencing the MOOYAH culture firsthand, Singh didn’t hesitate to sign on as a multi-unit operator. Singh has already secured a lease for his first unit, and is planning for five more.
“I couldn’t be more excited. And I don’t think I’ll stop there,” he said. “If everything goes well, I’ll continue to grow with MOOYAH.”
Corporate leadership shares Sunny’s enthusiasm about their partnership and especially appreciates working with veteran restaurant operators as the brand continues its rapid growth.
“We are fortunate to be growing quickly with experienced, successful restaurant owners like Sunny,” said Doug Willmarth, president of the company. “We know that with his franchise experience, he has the team, resources and experience to hit the ground running.”
As Franchise Owners across the MOOYAH system continue to expand into multi-unit ownership, the brand is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after opportunities in franchising. The franchise still has prime open territories in targeted growth markets across the country, many of which have recently opened and still have some of the best sites available.
“We are expanding rapidly in California, Arizona, Texas and Florida but still have excellent territory available,” said Willmarth. “It really is a great time to partner with MOOYAH.”
The start-up costs to invest in a MOOYAH franchise range from $477,918 to $989,793. Learn more at https://franchise.mooyah.com/.
